“Jean taught us a dance routine for my grandfather’s 90th birthday celebrations. The routine was to a medley of old Bollywood songs, starting with a song for my four year old niece and then three songs for two couples.
Working with Jean was a wonderful experience – she was adaptable (we all had very different dancing abilities, but Jean adapted her style to suit us all), flexible (she changed her original moves to suit our style when required, especially for my young niece), considerate (she made a special effort to understand the lyrics and background of the old Bollywood songs so that the moves she taught us reflected the appropriate era) and, finally, what she taught us had her own edge to it, making our performance a big success at the birthday celebrations.
